FAQ’S

Will my girl be safe?

We want you to know that the safety and security of your precious girl is of the highest importance to us!  After check-in, we will be locking the doors to ensure that no one enters or exits the premises without our knowledge. There are also security cameras present throughout the common areas and outside. Many of our volunteers are trained in first aid and basic emergency medical procedures. There will also be a sign in and sign out to make sure that everyone is present and accounted for throughout the entire event. 

Will there be enough supervision?

Yes! We have a whole team of women who have volunteered to lead, oversee, and feed the attendees this weekend, we will also be staying overnight with the girls at the church! 

What if I’ve already been to an ABIDE weekend, can I still come?

Yes, yes, and YES!  There will be new content (some that you’ve already heard but it never hurts to hear again) new faces, and we are always learning and improving from year to year!

Will there be boys/men there?

This event is strictly for young women so NO BOYS ALLOWED :) 

Where will they be sleeping?

We will be “Camping out” in the sanctuary of the church in blanket forts and anywhere they are the most comfy!

Can I invite my friends from other towns/schools/churches?

ABSOLUTELY. 100% YES!! We want as many young women to hear and experience the life changing truths that we will be talking about at this conference.  So TELL. THEM. ALL. and make sure they get registered!

What if I can only make it for Saturday?

We want you to be there to experience the whole event - trust us, you won’t want to miss any of it -  but we do understand if schedules don’t align, contact us so we can talk about options with you!

What should I bring?

Will there be food?

So. Much. Food.  We will have a pizza party and some late night snacks on Friday night.  Saturday we will be providing Breakfast, Lunch, and more snacks!

What If I have an allergy or dietary restriction?

We want to know about it! On the registration form you will find a box to check, indicating if you have any dietary restrictions.  We will then email you a form to fill out so we can prepare accordingly!  We don’t want you to miss out on a single thing - including the food!

Can I bring my phone?

Yes, you can bring it, usage during the event will be strongly discouraged to prevent as many distractions as possible and ensure you are getting the most out of the content that you can!  We will have designated times to be able to “check in” with parents or guardians if necessary. 

What if I’m from a different church or don’t go to church?

This is a non-denominational event and there are no religious requirements or standards to be met.  We will definitely be talking a lot about God and how we believe that all healthy relationships flow from a real connection with His heart.  But this will be shared in a way that is not at all intended to pressure you into anything!! We just want to show you what God’s love can look like! So come and see!

What if I already have a sexual history?

This event is for young women. Period.  No matter your past, we want you to know how beautiful and loved you are and that redemption, and freedom can be found in Christ.

What kind of topics do you cover?

We are going to be talking about so many things that we know weigh heavily on the heart of a teen girl - things like identity, friendships, relationships with family, dating, sex, marriage and even how to use singleness to its fullest and richest potential!  We believe that every step of the journey can be beautiful and full of peace and true joy if we will only look to the giver of those things - our Heavenly Father!  

**There will be some sensitive topics discussed (sex and intimacy and what it was intended to be within the holy union of marriage, pornography and its impact on boys AND girls, the LGBTQ movement, pregnancy and forgiveness/redemption) If you have any concerns or questions about any of the topics we’ve mentioned PLEASE reach out to us, we would love to talk with you!

How do I know you will be giving the right answers?

Everything that we do and say during this event will be derived from the TRUTH that is found in the Word of God.  If you want to know what any of our answers will be pertaining to a specific subject, please let us know, we love sharing about the exciting things God has revealed to us!

This event is completely free to you!

Is there anything you need from parents/guardians and/or how can we support this ministry?

We NEED your consent on the registration.  And we would really, REALLY appreciate your prayers both during and leading up to this powerful event!  God is moving in our communities and we couldn’t be more excited for what HE has in store for all of us!
