About Hope

OUR MISSION: "We exist in order to develop champions of Christ who strengthen each other,
celebrate the relationship we have in Christ, and bring others to know Him.”

At Hope, we provide a welcoming place to worship our Lord, study His word, and fellowship with others. Each Sunday, kids and adults participate in Sunday School classes. After Sunday School, at about 10:00am, there is time designated for people to fellowship and enjoy refreshments together before the Worship Service. During the Worship Service, the worship team leads us in singing praises, followed by an invocation, prayer, teaching from God’s Word and a final response to God in song. We welcome you to join us at 10:30am this Sunday!

History

A little over 20 years ago, a group of people from the Fertile community came together from different circumstances, but they came together for a united purpose: they gathered for prayer and to study God’s Word.

God answered their gathering by planting the seeds of truth and then by birthing a church through them. The Lord added to their numbers and the church that was begun was named Hope Evangelical Free Church.

After over 10 years of setting up and tearing down for worship service each Sunday in rented or shared spaces, God guided the members in planning and constructing a church building in which to gather. One truth that is deeply understood by this congregation, however, is that the church is not a building but rather, it is the body of Christ made up of believing people. People that believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and therefore have a personal relationship with God are known as the church.

In the past 20 years, Hope’s commitment to God’s Word and prayer has not wavered. And from those early days, the Lord’s faithfulness has been evident in many ways.
